In a recent turn of events, Shah Rukh Khan has taken the worldwide box office by storm, achieving a remarkable milestone of Rs 1000 crore with his latest movies, "Pathaan" and "Jawan."

"Pathaan," released earlier this year, broke all-time records as it crossed the coveted Rs 1000 crore mark in global box office earnings. What's even more astonishing is that Shah Rukh Khan is on track to replicate this feat in just 8 months with "Jawan." As of now, "Jawan" has raked in an impressive Rs 937.61 crore and is poised to touch the Rs 1000 crore mark within the next three days.

This extraordinary accomplishment has caught the attention of Salman Khan, who considers this benchmark as a groundbreaking achievement. Salman Khan, once known for labeling Rs 100 crore as a significant milestone, now regards it as the new rock bottom.

During the trailer launch event for Gippy Grewal's upcoming Punjabi film "Maujaan Hi Maujaan," Salman Khan expressed his views, stating, "This Rs 100 crore mark is going to be the rock bottom now. Everything is going to be Rs 400-600 crore plus now for the Punjabi industry, Hindi industry, every industry. Even Marathi films are doing those numbers right now. Basically, people are going to the theatres once again to watch movies. I think Rs 100 crore is not going to be a very big deal. I think the benchmark should be Rs 1000 crore for a film right now."

Gippy Grewal, responding to Salman's statement, acknowledged the remarkable commercial success of Punjabi films at the box office, saying, "When our films used to do a business of Rs 10-15 crore, we would be surprised. Last time when we were on stage, people asked if our film ('Carry On Jatta 3') could do Rs 100 crore. We didn't know what to say then. But by God's grace, everything went well. Now, if Salman sir is saying (the business will be big for 'Maujaan Hi Maujaan'), then something huge will happen."

Salman Khan, with his characteristic humor, added, "Mere pe mat jaana bhai, picture pe jaana kyunki mere khud ke predictions meri films pe nahin chal rahe. (Don't listen to what I say, judge the film for what it is because my predictions don't seem to be working for my own films.)"

It's worth noting that Salman Khan's recent movies, such as "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan," "Antim - The Final Truth," and "Dabangg 3," have not performed as spectacularly at the box office as expected.
